Soundtoys Releases New SpaceBlender Plug-in

Free for a limited time only – a $99 value

BURLINGTON, VT – Renowned pro audio effects creator Soundtoys proudly announces the release of SpaceBlender, an experimental reverb that lets you create unreal and imaginary spaces – shapes, textures, and tones otherwise impossible in the real world. Inspired by the pioneers of ambient music, with their extensive use of layered tape loops and delays, SpaceBlender is designed to create massive waves of lush, organic, and evolving spatial effects.

SpaceBlender is available now at soundtoys.com for free – a $99 value – through May 22. Sign up to claim this offer.

Whether enhancing a track’s sense of space or creating dynamic, evolving effects, SpaceBlender is a fun and intuitive tool for sound designers, musicians, and producers looking for creative yet easy-to-use spatial processing.

“We’ve been exploring new ways to build an algorithmic reverb – something with the creative flexibility of convolution and the richness, depth, and soul of classic hardware devices,” said Ken Bogdanowicz, CEO and founder of Soundtoys.

“SpaceBlender is the first product of this research, and we’ve tried to make it easy to play with ‘space’ in a fun and musical way. We’re excited to hear what people create with it.”

Key features of SpaceBlender include:

● Interactive control – move between gate, reverse, decay, and bloom reverb shapes and everything
in-between, in real time.

● Visualizer – see your sound move through the reverb shape as you adjust its sonic envelope.

● Simple control of spectral evolution; reverbs can get darker or brighter over time.
● Deeply embedded modulation creates rich, constantly moving ambient effects.

● Smoothly change the reverb texture from dense and lush to sparse and grainy.

● Extreme range from super short 100-millisecond nonlinear effects to absurdly long 60-second meditations.

The free SpaceBlender offer is valid only at soundtoys.com through May 22, 2025. SpaceBlender will be available for purchase from authorized resellers worldwide on May 23. Learn about Soundtoys’ system requirements and host compatibility.

Rotto

video upload by Memetune Studio

"I managed to set up the Melbourne Instruments Roto-Control with the Buchla. No mean feat! With the addition of an Endorphines Shuttle and a Goma voltage processor, plus a few jack to banana jumblers made by CGP, I can get up to 16 channels of cv control of Buchla parameters and other things like the ALM MFX here. These can then be recorded into the Roto Control (see the moving knobs!) or into the computer. Whatever, its cool to see them playing nicely together"

NEW MODULE! MATRIX VCF User Guide - Vintage 16-Mode Filter & VCA by AJH SYNTH for #eurorack

video upload by AJH Synth Official

"NEW MODULE! The MATRIX VCF & VCA by AJH SYNTH is a 16-mode filter based on the vintage Oberheim Matrix 12 & Xpander synthesisers of the 1980's. It has all 15 filter types of the original synth filter, plus an additional 4-pole all pass filter mode, AND a switchable resonance and distortion circuit based on the Polivoks synth, which flips the character of the filter on its head. It can go from smooth and crisp, to aggressive overdrive with screaming resonance in an instant. It is 14hp, and features its own built-in VCA, negating the need for an additional module to amplify its output, saving valuable rack space.

Frequency is controllable by 4 different CV inputs, resonance can also be controlled by CV, naturally the VCA, but also filter Mode can be selected by control voltages, meaning that a huge range of automation is possible, in addition to the physical pots for manual tweaking.

See the AJH SYNTH website for more details: https://ajhsynth.com/Matrix_VCF.html

The AJH SYNTH Eurorack range consists of high-end modules, all hand-made in the UK, most of which are based on classic, vintage designs, authentically recreating the circuitry of much sought-after analogue instruments and technologies of the past, whilst greatly expanding them, and bringing them to modern Eurorack levels of convenience, limitless flexibility, and reliability.

Waldorf Blofeld Dark Atmospheric Ambient Presets Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"Obscured Waves is a collection of 64 presets for Waldorf Blofeld that explores the darker, vintage-inspired side of sound design. The bank is built around the idea of imperfection—gritty, lo-fi textures combined with constantly shifting timbres created through rich modulation.
These sounds are alive, expressive, and full of character, bringing a distinctive atmosphere to any track, performance, or video production.

🌌 The soundset includes: 9 Textures, 7 Leads, 15 Pads, 11 Strings, 6 Rhythmical, 8 Keys, 8 Drones.

📦 Get these presets: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/blof...

💎 The timbres span a wide spectrum: dark, noisy, lo-fi, retro, romantic, melancholic, nostalgic, soundscapes, atmospheric, detuned, cold, distant, dull, massive, epic, bright, orchestral, distorted, metallic, tense, atonal, non-harmonic, FX-like, evolving, and sweeping.

🎛 The patches include dozens of modulations, adding motion and variation.
Velocity sensitivity and ModWheel assignments are mapped for expressive control, making each sound performance-friendly. ModWheel adds modulations — brightening the sound,
introducing vibrato, shifting tone, or adding extra movement for dynamic performance.

🔮 What sets Obscured Waves apart is its fusion of experimental tones and playable musical textures. Whether you’re crafting ambient, techno, cinematic, IDM, industrial, drum and bass, retrowave, or any style that leans into a dark atmospheric or moodier aesthetic, this soundset will give your music depth and identity.

🧿 Each preset was meticulously designed to deliver a tactile, emotional experience. Techniques such as noise layering, distortion, FM, and vintage tape emulation were used to evoke an analog character from this digital instrument. The result is a visceral set of sounds that feel aged, nostalgic, and imperfect—in all the right ways.

💡 Technical Information. How to import/upload presets.
The presets are compatible with hardware Blofeld versions: desktop and keyboard; and with the official Blofeld VST Plugin.
Make sure you are using the latest hardware firmware and vst-plugin versions.

No Samples and third-party wavetables are required. The soundset is made with the factory content only.
The soundset comes in multiple formats:
Bank in .syx format (Bank G)
Bank in .mid format (Bank G)
Bank in .blo format for Auraplugins Blofeld Editor/Librarian users
Bank in .bpz format for the official Blofeld VST plugin users

Separate presets in .mid format

The bank contains presets in slots 01–64. Slots 65–128 are Init Presets. SysEx transfer will overwrite the entire Bank G. Make a backup before loading.
Set Device ID to 0 (zero).
To load the presets onto the synthesizer, use a SysEx file utility: SysEx Librarian by Snoize (for Mac) or MIDI-OX/Bome Send SX (for Windows).
Connect the Blofeld to your computer via USB and select it as the MIDI device in the application settings.
Load the .syx or .mid bank file into the application, select it, and click Send/Play.
