DELIA Macro Oscillator Mode Update Melbourne Instruments Hybrid Analog Polysynth
video upload by Melbourne Instruments
"Introducing the powerful new Macro Oscillator Mode firmware update for DELIA, Melbourne Instruments' motorized hybrid polysynth. This major enhancement adds 45 synthesis waveform models using open-source code from Émilie Gillet’s Mutable Instruments Braids, one of the most celebrated Eurorack synth modules.
This new mode dramatically expands Delia’s sonic capabilities, unlocking a new world of synthesis, from classic analog textures to cutting-edge digital experimentation. Powered by Delia’s innovative architecture, the new Macro Oscillator Mode delivers an incredibly versatile hands-on sound design experience unlike any other.
This video demonstrates just some of the 50 new presets, exploring the sonic possibilities of the new Macro Oscillator.
Each waveform model is shaped by two expressive parameters, Timbre and Color, adapted from the original Braids module. These controls affect multiple tonal dimensions simultaneously, producing evolving, complex, and musically responsive sounds.
Macro Oscillator Mode introduces a diverse palette of waveform types, including:
• classic analog VCO emulation
• additive and digital synthesis
• vowel/formant synthesis
• 2-operator FM
• simulation of string and wind instruments
• wavetable synthesis with smooth XY interpolation
• filtered/colored/pitched noise
• granular synthesis
• electronic drum sound simulation

Café Quantum
video upload by Patch Point
"By Ciat-Lonbarde"

"When the Cocoquantus2 first appeared, it didn’t just find an audience—it created one. Musicians, experimentalists, producers, and curious tinkerers fell in love with its organic chaos, character, and uncanny ability to turn accidents into art. It became a modern cult instrument because you couldn’t play it without forming a relationship with it.
Café Quantum continues that lineage with reverence—then boldly invents a new chapter.
At its core, Café Quantum preserves the tactile immediacy and playful unpredictability of the Coco ecosystem. But surrounding that familiar heart are entirely new tools designed to make the instrument feel more alive, more intelligent, and more expressive.
One of the biggest leaps is the open-source programmable engine. For the first time, players can write their own behaviors—little sonic personalities— at the Cafe modules, one for each side, and the Quantum module can carry them out by patching points. Whether it’s generative patches, evolving modulation, rhythmic structures, or strange autonomous rituals, the instrument becomes a creative partner. And thanks to the dedicated banana sockets, these behaviors integrate directly into the patch ecosystem. The Cafe module becomes a blank page for your imagination, shaped as far as your coding skills can carry you
The preamp has grown up too. Now it features a Norton gain character and adds a VCA input, making external dynamics, sidechaining, and voltage-controlled level manipulation feel effortless. On top of the newly redesigned preamp features you still have the envelope follower that opens the door to all sorts of expressive interactions between incoming audio and internal modulation.
Then comes the new magic trick:
A radio-based gestural controller sits atop the entire system, allowing 4 hands-free modulation reminiscent of a theremin. Move in space, and the instrument responds—pitch, delay time, grain density, feedback paths, whatever you choose. It transforms performance from knob-twisting to full-body expression."
How much vintage analog synths cost in 1996
video upload by mylarmelodies
"In this video I'll leaf through 29 year old classified ads for 'vintage' analogue synths (they're a lot more vintage now) in Sound on Sound. A trip down memory lane to ask: Were vintage synths LOADS cheaper then? Well, yeah. But also, maybe not like you may think. Thoughts on this and much more contained herein. 👉 / mylarmelodies 🙌

"I’m very proud to introduce you to our new digital multi effects unit, the transparentSea.
It’s designed for live table top musicians who like to go DAWless but also works well in a studio environment.
The basic idea is to have an all in 1 FX solution without a screen and with minimal hidden features. Dedicated knobs for every parameter and responsive Buttons with RGB LEDs.

BalterLITE - FREE Dual sampler/sequencer
video upload by DecadeBridge
"BalterLITE is free to download from
https://www.decadebridge.com/free-plu...
BalterLITE features two samplers with dedicated 32 step sequencers for gate, pitch and volume. I am releasing this 'as is' as I have no time to develop it further. It is a little 'old skool' and kooky but is good for creating percussive sequences or stranger sounds when using longer samples."
"BalterLITE is a 2 channel sample player with an old skool approach. Each sampler features a gate, pitch and level sequencer for each of its 32 steps. It also features envelope generators for the lopass filters, a global envelope triggered by a midi note on event, a volume envelope triggered by each step that is active alongside a sample pitch decay control."
Using Stuff Wrong: Patching with Mimetic Digitwolis
video upload by Noise Engineering
0:14 Setting up steps
0:28 Sample and Hold
1:40 Clock Division and Generation
2:55 Random Pitch Generator
In this walkthrough, we’re “using stuff wrong” in the best way possible, taking Mimetic Digitwolis far beyond sequencing. Today we explore three creative patches that didn’t make the manual, but absolutely deserve a place in your rack.
You’ll learn how to turn MD2 into:
• A sample and hold, using external CV and triggers
• A clock divider or MIDI-to-analog clock converter
• A random pitch generator, inspired by classic Source of Uncertainty tricks
We’ll walk through setup, mappings, and patching step-by-step, with screen views and module closeups.
Whether you’re using MD2 as your main sequencer or as a multifunction utility, these techniques open up a new world of modulation, randomness, and timing tricks.
More MD2 resources:
• Generative sequencing
• Configuration & workflow
• MIDI integration
• Firmware updates
